  • Has anyone that replied to the iBitStore email had a response yet?

Got same email, and the Sim cards (which I remember ordering MONTHS ago). I replied with one of the phone numbers (out of the 2 I got) so we will see if anything comes of it soon I guess.

  • I got the same email on Monday. I rang the number a couple of times on Tuesday morning and eventually someone answered and when I asked for Shawn the woman said he wasn't in but she'd get him to call me. Needless to say nobody called me so I rang again later that day and the bloke that answered this time asked if it was about the email and if I'd received the sim card. I told him that's why I'd rung (because I hadn't) and he told me I should get one in the post in a day or two and once it arrived to send the number as it says in the email.

    Let's hope it's not a scam, but I guess it's going to be.... :(

Did you ask any more information about this comp?
  • No, not really. I just assumed it was only me that had received the email and ligit, untill I read this thread, so didn't think to quiz them any further. The bloke on the phone did say something to the effect that once I've got the sim card number and replied then I'll receive all the full details about the prize.

    Fingers still crossed...

I also received this email, I searched for a contact number through ibitstore's site and eventually found an 0870 one. this had a recorded message that it had been changed to 08445676161 - slightly different to the one in the email. The call was answered and the female (possibly from india) siad I just needed to send the number on the sim card, so it was definately the same competition/company. I clarified if sending the number would give me a prize or enter me into the competition to which i got both replies that i would be entered and then that I had been successful!! I said that the email had come from ibitstore and had said my entry had been successful to which she replied "yes" - not exceptionally helpful. I mentioned that there was interest on this site and concern about the validity of the competition, she didn't seem to understand however i then asked who was actually running the competition and she said T-Mobile. Incidently i have not received a sim card but was told to call back if I hadn't got it in a couple of days. IMHO this is a legitimate competition by T-Mobile however I think that by returning the sim you become entered and don't think i have already won anything! hope this helps and I shall be watching for updates on here about any other contact!! Caution however is always advised as you will still be sending your address to a bit of an unknown entity and they may just be fishing on the chance we may have received a sim from tesco etc,
  • I have been trying to contact these people for the last three days without success, I have now sent them the following message in an email
"From your total lack of interest I can only assume that your company are trying to run some kind of scam. If this IS the case then you are obviously not very good at it. May I suggest you go to Nigeria and take some lessons. If this is NOT the case perhaps you will have the courtesy to reply to me and explain your actions"
I am now waiting to see if they have the B*lls to reply !

To me the email sounds like a confirmation that you all entered some kind of 'competition'. I think the 'prize' is likely to be money off a phone contract or something along those lines so more of a promotion really than an actual competition.
Of course I could be totally wrong but if I received an email like this, this is what I would be thinking :)
Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small
