Thanks, £5 per month from 3 seems a fair line rental if it includes 1GB data (the link seems to say 1GB rather than 2GB) http://threestore.three.co.uk/dealsummary.aspx?offercode=1SO0D003&id=1183
I don't know how 02 can justify charging £10 for only 500mb ("simplicity") which is 4x the cost per MB of the 3 deal!
Seems silly when they do a bolt on for £7.50 which is unlimited... just checked it says its 500mb now! I've never been charged though and I check my facebook/email several times a day in work!0 -
I'm on Tmobile PAYG, I get 6 months internet for £20 ( 1 GB/month)0

It looks like you can pay £5 per month for "unlimited" internet, but it goes back to £10 next month which is more than I'm prepared to pay (as I use very little data some months).
You get Free UK mobile Internet up to the 1st of October 2010 on their payg tariff . No need for you buy a bolt on /goody bag to get it.

Apologies if this may sound a bit offensive, but you are the "tightest" person I've met so far on here. Data is already expensive compared to any voice and text charges, yet you want to pay no more than 3p per MB or better still not to pay anything each month towards your usage?
I've had a good look in the past at SimOnly and PAYG, and there isn't one that gives a good balance in terms of charges. You will either pay more for the calls & text or for the data per MB.
For someone like yourself, the Three PAYG (150MB) is probably best for your occasional use as the data lasts for 90 days with each topup.
or O2 Text & Web (500MB) per month for £10 topup if you are a slightly heavy user.
GiffGaff is the best combination for now, until they start charging for data in October, then you'll have to pay for £10pm on Goodybags for a decent allowance.
Which ever tariff you go on, read the small print for out of bundle charges. If you think 30p per MB is expensive, you haven't seen the £3-£4 per MB some networks charge for on SimOnly & Contract plans.
There are loads of posts of people being charged 100's of pounds on their bills for out of bundle data usage.
Good luck.0
