They will be spoilt for choice as theres plenty on offer. Have they got Sky, Orange mobile? - if so they maybe able to benefit from 'free' broadband. If they just want a straight forward product with a main stream operator then £12,99 for 1MB with Tiscali is quite competitive

I would personally recommend AOL, you can get a 9.99/month deal with a free wireless router for a 12 month contract.
Sky is also a very good offer if they have it as pointed by humfer.
Beware of Tiscali, lot of unhappy users there.
The best place to look at is https://www.adslguide.org
I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T

hi there showing £14.99 on there site u have a link? ta
  • I'd say go with one that offers a monthly contract , it's a bit late a month or two into a 12 or 18 month contract to find the service is poor and your stuck with it or you have to buy yourself out.

    I'm on Eclipse upto 8MB for £14.99 a month.

Just call AOL on their free number 0800...... and ask for the 9.99 offer and haggle about the free router. Worse to sorse you might have to pay 25 quid for the wireless router but tell them you know many people who have got the router free with the 9.99 deal.

    Hope it helps

    Anyone think this could work:

Sign up for AOL silver online through Quidco and get £35 cashback

1st month free & free router

Then call them up in the cooling off period (is it 7 days?) and say your not happy as you've heard people are getting it for £10 and your paying £15, try and get them to reduced it to £10.

    Result: 11 months @ £10 = £110 - £35 cashback = £75 with a free router

    Equivalent of £6.25 a month

You could always sell the router if you don't need it too

What you think? Would they refuse the cashback or something?

The cashback from quidco, I am not sure... how long it takes as it has been a week and i am still waiting for £45 to be tracked. Hope that I get it and then I will try ringing AOL during the cooling off period, but I have heard that they demand £25 for the router.
Lets see. Fingers and everythingelse crossed :rotfl:

Ide go with Wayne on this one AVOID the big ISP's there is no such thing as FREE ide only trust one that offers a 1 or 3 month contract (1 month preferable) then if you aint satisfied you can leave theres plenty of good ones out there Xifos, Nildram, IDNet, NewNet, Zen and the like great site for reviews here on all ISP's DSL ZoneUK Ratings and scroll down their all there.

    Good Luck
