Thanks haveibeendone and everyone else im a bit more clued up about things now. Letter 'before action' went off yesterday to dealer recorded delivery so he should have got it today, fingers crossed he has some compassion! If not we are going to take it to small claims court and run with the fact that the deal was conditional
