I have a monthly sim card from tesco (£15 for 500 min, unlimited net and texts) and I wnat to know..if i buy an iphone from the apple store, if i could find one, will i be able to use the tesco sim card, after cutting the edges to make it microsim? or will tesco block the sim? how will they know it is in iphone?

    They'll know its in an iPhone, they need to know the IMEI of the phone in use, but you can use your sim in whatever phone you like as far as I know, so it shouldnt be a problem, why not just phone them and ask

    just because i have been looking at different networks and found that their sim only tarrifs for iphones are different from other sim only tariffs for other phones!!

    It could be to do with the data allowances (higher for iphones) and it could also be to do with the network settings that give priority to iphone users for data.

    I don't think you will have any problem as long as you understand and accept whatever the data allowance is.
