Best screen protector for HTC Desire

Can anyone recommend a decent but cheap screen protector for the HTC Desire? I've heard Martin Fields are one of the best but I don't really want to folk out £12 for one.

Another good one is MFX Protector which is only £5 but you only get one

I really don't want ANY that are reflective or look like mirrors when the screen is off/dark -- I absolutely HATE those type. Also I'm a bit concerned about getting really cheap ones that may make the screen darker/less sharp.

Cheers

If you search, a website somewhere did some scratch testing which suggested the screen was very scratch resistant and that protectors may not be needed. I haven't used one and the screen is completely scratch and scuff free after 3 month's fairly intensive use.

2.45 for 5 of them from Amazon, they are fine, they scratch easily but at that price you can afford to replace them from time to time.

I did see something similar for the HD2 and even the iPhone -- they all seem to be built to be very scratch resistant. Still, for the security and peace of mind its nice having that extra protection.

It would be a real kick in the teeth if you find something has scratched it one day and had no protection on there. It might last 3 months but 3 years of intensive use might give the screen a run for its money ;-)

Aye, but I'll be looking for a new contract in 2. ;)

eBay has done the trick for my HTC Desire.

    Pack of 6 for £1.99 (incl. P&P):
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/6-pack-Lcd-Screen-Protector-HTC-Desire-/380231256189?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL&hash=item58878c887d

Pretty good quality, I show people and they don't even notice there is even a screen protector on!

It was the first time I'd applied a screen protector to a screen, and apart from the first one (disaster - air bubbles galore!), the second one was perfect and has been on for the past 2 months. My only criticism is that every so-called "custom fit" screen protector (including the one I linked) for the HTC Desire always seems to feel like it should just be a few millimetres wider/taller to touch the "groove" around the edge of the screen - this has been the case for all the ones I've seen in shops, friends devices, etc.

But as the other poster said, I think the screen is pretty scratch resistant. Perhaps just a case is enough to prevent damage from coins, keys and whatnot. But me being me, the tiniest scratch would annoy me. And at the price the phone is, it wasn't worth taking the risk.

I got these the other month from Ebay, still on the first one, and it was easy to put on with no bubbles

Can anyone recommend a good case for the Desire? A lot of the ones on Amazon don't have very good reviews or they seem to cover up some of the buttons. I just want one that fits well, leaves all the buttons exposed and doesn't add much bulk.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend -this- seller on ebay. Very good quality products and free delivery (usually next day in my experience).

I got these from ebay, 160422036071. They're supplied from Hong Kong by Dragonext. I paid something like £1.99 for 4 plus 30p delivery.. They're fantastic quality, triple layered and come with a microfibre cleaning cloth. I've had the same one on since I got the phone at the end of March.

I cannot recommend one as such, but I have come across a site which may be useful : http://www.easydevices.co.uk/sp/searchbox11/case/category/HTC%20Accessories/subcategory/HTC%20Desire.html

I've never used that site before so do not know what they are like, but I intend to buy the extended battery from there if I find the battery life in my new Desire (which I should be getting delivered tomorrow :D) to not be much good.
