    You're the one looking foolish.

OP was just warning others who might not have read their Ts and Cs - give him a break, and get that stick out of your !!!.

Go over to the huggie forum - he started this off as a "warning" about a "trap"!! - and hasn't liked the fact that it isnt a trap and how do you warn people that they should read the contract they sign up to.

And that chap who said 'some of us just don't have the time'...thats a well used and highly overated line on this website for those who like to blame everyone else for their mistakes.

AND!!! Did I see someone write "jeez"? What decade are we in??

I said it and I've studied a bit of law at degree level - and no I'm not blaming anybody else. I still stick to what I said. The average person does not have time to read through every term and condition of a contract in his daily life. Or are you one of the people who can recite all the T&C's on his library membership, and who won't sign for a delivery unless the box is opened, examined and all T&C's examined in detail.

What a lovely place this is. If you're like this in real life, I'm not surprised you have time to read every letter or every word of every paragraph of every document - you wont be spending time with friends, will you?

    Huggie forum my !!!!.

Some arrogant people on this post.

OP - thanks for the heads up.. I've read the T&C's although I obviously can't remember all of them.

Why are people so snooty in their opinion?

They offer 50 ~ 58 days interest free on purchases but never cash withdrawls.
    Not strictly true. :)

    Saga card...
    arrow.gifInterest free cash withdrawals —
    up to 55 days†

If you use your card to withdraw cash, you will benefit from an interest free period of up to 55 days if the balance is settled in full before the due date. After that, interest will be charged at 23.9% APR from the date that the transaction is debited to your account. There is a 2% Fee (minimum £2) for each cash advance, whether it is made abroad or in the UK.

I stand corrected. I should have said "but rarely cash withdraws" as opposed to "never".

That looks like a good deal from Saga actually. Must remember that :o

  • was someone quoting"jeez" with a name like wutang ???
OP is merely helping others and doesn't need easily irritated people to vexatiously dissect their opening post, shame on you!
Talking about Vanquis, i recently applied as my credit was trashed as a student, since then been paying wages into wifes account so have no worthwhile credit.Even though i owe no one a thing. However back to Vanquis, i received a call i had qualified for a Vanquis card with 750 limit. However in order to activate it i needed to call an 09... number which would cost £25(although the lady-Kelly said this would be refunded on to my card?) Naturally i didn't call. Anyone know if this is a valid thing Vanquis do or someone hijack my application and try to rip me off because i was told i couldn't call from a mobile or phone box either.?
  • oh ended up getting a pay as you go credit card which is convenient for trips over seas hiring cars etc and dcoes what it says on the tin if you load it up with money. Suits me sir.
