Completing on Friday!

The other thing to remember is that you won't want to be using plates on Thursday night if you don't have to so for Thursday and Friday have easily eatable food available or have fish and chips. It will save on time and effort and having it to hand will be grateful when you get to that point of packing and moving stuff.
(I am assuming you are moving from renting and moving on the same day as you complete. If not the above may not be so necessary.0 -
Usually still pretty easy to change: Just unscrew and take out/replace. But maybe harder to get the replacement. May need to approach the door supplier/manufacturer (Anglia Windows or whoever.)
Try www.handlestore.com
They have plenty of diagrams which I found helpful when trying to identify.0 -
Ring the solicitor and agent at 9.05 and ask if completion has taken place. Always a laugh!0

Hi Guys,
thanks for your help in the past getting to the stage where we are completing on Friday!
Are there any hints or tips i need to know for moving day to go smoothly or anything i can do right now?
We are getting the keys from the vendors, so only thing i can think of is alarm codes etc.
thanks in advance!
double check your lawyer is getting the mortgage monies the day before.
might sound basic but many lawyers fail to do this and slow the whole chain downMy posts are just my opinions and are not offered as legal advice - though I consider them darn fine opinions none the less.:cool2:
My bad spelling...well I rush type these opinions on my own time, so sorry, but they are free.:o0 -

Depends on the chain. If the first solicitor in the chain sends their money at 9am then the next solicitor should have it by 10am... and so on. Since you are a first time buyer you could have the keys by about 10.30 but it could be later.
Usually its between 11am and 3pm.0
