As above - and it sounds silly, but the first thing to do when you get in is to make up your beds; you WON'T want to do it later on, especially after all the champagne you'll be drinking ;)
    Good luck!

Pray! Only joking. Make sure as much as poss is boxed and labelled with each room. Label each room at your new place by putting a label on each door so that the removal firm knows where to put things. Set up re-direction service for post (6 months minimum I would suggest), take readings as suggested above. Have a box for things you'll need straight away. My Mum helped on the day and made the beds up (as per post above). Find out where you local pub is and go there when everything is in!! Best of luck.

Have a couple of boxes with priority stuff in - kettle, mugs, tea bags, milk, sheets, clothes for the next day, toothbrush, etc. Remember where they are!

Usually still pretty easy to change: Just unscrew and take out/replace. But maybe harder to get the replacement. May need to approach the door supplier/manufacturer (Anglia Windows or whoever.)
