quick advice wanted
the hotel i stayed at last week charged my bank card the £85
then put through another for the same.
ive had no cash all wknd but didnt know where the money was pending as it doesnt tell you,
until i phoned my bank this morn...
i am livid to say the least...:mad:
i called the hotel but manager is to busy too deal with me
but duty manager didnt apologise at all
she just said took the fax details to get the bank to release the money back but it wont be today
this is a nightmare for me
ive made 5 lengthy calls
im a single parent & have nothing today for food as ive just paid tv licence & home insurance etc d/d's
i will embarasingly have to borrow bus fare & grocery mun today:o
seemingly ....
the 'manager will call me late today when shes out of all her meetings'
what should i say to her or ask for as compen?????
btw
that was the only night ive stayed out this house in 2 yrs with gs
weve had a tough time & i struggled to have that one night,it was good, but this has taken it away

Awwww redbull, how horrid, Ring ur bank explain ur situation to them, ask them to check if the fax is there,usually ends up in the back office if it is, they can manually put it in ur acct immediately.

Reagrding compensation, god knows, but def tear tear a strip of them for their error, the second amount never left ur acct, it was just pending and would have dropped back in after a week or 2 xxxxxx

ive replied that i am a carer & have hosp appts & that i dont have time to write lengthy complaints for a thing that should never have happened at all no-one has said sorry either neither female or email..
i said i may contact newspaper & consumer direct.
maybe i shouldnt have said that but i'm frustrated & dont have an o/d on that account so waiting a few wks would leave us penniless again.

Attached is a copy of the letter that I have sent to the bank and the copy of the fax to let you know that it has went. Our General Manager will be out all day today so I have spoke to our Financial Controller and he has said that our company policy with complaints has to be put in writing, so if you could please send us a letter and this will get passed over to the General Manager.

Def ring the bank, if the fax is there they can put it manually in ur acct xxxxx

Write a letter later and send a copy to their h/o, it will only take u a few mins and could save someone else having the same issue xxxx

Had an email back saying i have to write
i dont know where to start & it has to be sent not emailed
(any good letter writers in here ??)
