ive had this before, i found a parcel behind the bin before, it was concealed but thats not the point, they have left the parcel next door before but not that time,
it may not have been signed delivery but it was a parcel that was too big for the letter boxNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20 -
Misunderstanding here my postman signs HIS name and only on letters that can be posted through letter box never left on door step. I would be mad about that aswell I get your point now....... took a while lol0

My postman does the same. Just leaving the thing in front of the door, which anyone can see it. What are you paying for.0

Your postman can sign for recorded delivery items, only if there is a written agreement between the customer and the postman that he is allowed to do this and that they can fit through the letterbox. Special delivery items however should NEVER be signed for by the postman. Also all packets should never be left on the doorstep if they do not fit through the door, they should be left in a safe place and a p739 left or taken back to the delivery office and a p739 left to be picked up by the customer the next day.0

In this neighbourhood I was happy for him to do this. Other places that I have lived, it would have disapeared before he got to the end of the street.
Our new postie does not do this, so if we are out things either go to a neighbour or we have to go to collect them.
What really bugs me is the guy from parcelforce who left two packages at different neighbours over the space of two days and did not leave a card on either occasion. They are both pensioners so were waiting for me to come and collect the packages, rather than bringing them around to me. I only found our a week later when I contacted the senders to query when the goods would be arriving. They did a track and trace and the record showed where they had been left.[size=-2] If this post was unhelpful, please tell me.
