Vodafone SIM update txts @ 2AM?

Anyone else had text messages from vodafone the past few days?

Got 2 texts at 2AM telling me to switch the phone off to get new features in my SIM menu.

I got fed up of missing text messages so changed the tone to a fairly loud one. Not what i want at 2AM.

Vodafone rep still around? why at 2AM?

SMS is not a time critical service. It can be held or delated for up to three days befoire the system discard them. (Think New years eve when they tend to get delated under the number of people texting)

Just because you recieved the text at 2AM it does not mean it was sent then, it could have been sent at lunchtme Friday and only just got to you.

You could always turn the phone off at night or put it on silent.

Sadly i cannot switch the phone off or put it on silent, I am the 1st contact for careline, So needs to be on 24/7
