what was/is everyone's most anticipated phone of this year?


i think mine was the Iphone4 but i'm interested to see what will the latest offering from RIM and to see if HTC and go even better than the Desire

your thoughts?

Probably less than a year to go. I`ll be keeping my iphone 4 for a couple of years unless there is a big change.

biggest announcment from htc so far since the desire is the aria for the american market, running android 2.1

nokia have announced the x6 8gb but it runs symbian and release 5 of the series 60 software :eek:

i'm looking forward to getting a 3gs next month and then hopefully os 4.1 will be better than 4.0

That looks nice. My 9000 is due for renewal towards the end of the year and the 9800 might just stop me from defecting to Apple.

Nokia N8 is on it's way later this year. Personally, I'd be more interested in the E5 which is supposedly the follow up to the E72.
On a more speculative level, Omio had a post with some with some potentially interesting new phones - including the first Windows 7 phones as well as an HTC Vision which is a desire-like phone with a physical keyboard. I can't post the link but if you google 'omio' and go to the 'news' section, they have a post from 6 July with the projected release schedules of different manufacturers for the rest of the year.

I think it might be taken with a pinch of salt but whatever the release schedules there will always be interesting phones on the horizon!
