LameWolf sorry to hear that Molly dog is not coming for her hols now but its not long until Penny will be with you. perhaps you could help A by doing it the other way round i.e. you could have Molly for a longer spell and he could visit her at yours? he could provide the food so you were not out of pocket? Ok about tonight - are you driving - I dont think so or you would have mentioned it i think so this is an outing you can relax for - why not pamper yourself a bit this afternoon and get dolled up - no more cleaning just chill and save any spoons - maybe even a wee nap? I find that its the outings that I am not looking forward to that turn out nice - you will be able to have a little drinky as well. put your favourite glad rags on and your positive hat and go with the flow (((hugs)))
Thanks Toots. No I'm hoping Mr LW will drive tonight - I volunteered Tuesday so that he could have a couple of jars with A who is after all, originally his pal (they've been friends over 20 years, since Mr LW first came to MK). I don't want to do it tonight, as the car park at the pub isn't the easiest to get out of - nasty blind corner that I'm not very confident with. I'll probably allow myself a vodka & tonic or 2 to calm my nerves if Mr LW drives.

Bathroom's all finished, or as much as I'm doing, so I'm just decluttering a few calories on the Wii (funny how the boxing exercise makes me feel so much better:rotfl:), and we're having jacket spuds for dins, so that'll be easy to do.

I'm not really into afternoon naps, (never find them refreshing I'm afraid) but I have a couple of Telegraph crossword books, so I might have a go at one of those in a bit.:o

When Molly visits A she'll definitely stay at his, as A's two DSs will want to see her (particularly DS2); still, it'll be interesting to see what Penny is like; I've not met her before, and I've never looked after a Cavalier King Charles before, either!:)

Might as well post today's achievements while I'm at it:

Thursday - Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Level One
Clear floors of guff and stuff Done
sweep and mop and deslop the floors in these rooms. Done (Mr LW)
    Level Two
Clean baths, toilets, don't forget the outside! and sinks Done
Clear any clutter from desk Done on LR day
Dust PC and desk and wipe off those cup rings!! Done on LR day
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc Done on LR day
    Level Three
Wash your bathroom mats, nets, clean blind/curtains, shower curtains etc Not a chance with the mats – it's tiddling down with rain and there's already washing on the indoor A-frame! They're still OK from being done last week, in any case. Shower screen scrubbed.
Wipe down tiles in bathroom.. defragment your pc while doing this. Done
Empty and clean out all the upstairs bins! All bins done
Collect all the dirty laundry All in laundry bin already
    Extras

    1. Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms Done all I can get to
    2. Empty the cupboard and clean it out.. colour ordered bottles inside! Done very recently, so doesn't need it.
    3. Fling all those empty bottles and tubes None to fling
    4. If you have a shelf.. empty and clean it Shelf = windowsill – already done with rest of tiles.
    5. Grab yourself a toothbrush and scrub the manky bits between the tiles No manky bits, I'm pleased to say! At least none that I can get to.
Going to do a bit more on the Wii now.;):D:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I assume you're nowhere near me....if you were, I'd come & give you a hand.

    xxx
Just get on a boat off the pier, turn left and keep going...you'll get there in the end :rotfl:

been to town and seen the most intriguing sight - elderly, bearded, grey haired gentleman , in the jewellers, draped in jewelry HSbling_smilie.gifinc large earring on one side, all (or mostly) amber. All 'ladies' stuff, too. Clearly a regular (they knew him by name and he gets discount). Obviously one of life's eccentrics.

In there buying retirement gift for colleague - bought her a Blue John pendant and necklace (from us all) and asked the price of some gorgeous amber earrings for me...and resisted. Got next card loaded up for another colleague who's moving on to pastures new and gift wrap for the junior cleaner who is in much the same state as Piggers - but still working  I know she's having a blue baby (as opposed to a pink one;)) so have bought a lil' blue soft elephant for him (because I like elephants - DD was not impressed) as well as a few bits. There will also be some cash for the envelope...

Running THREE collections simultaneously AND organising the farewell tea AND bouquets needed a Flylady's hand ;) and 2 spreadsheets

Clearly oddities day in townheadscratcher.gif because there was a couple in a branch of a famous newsagents/stationers looking at diaries (the Academic year ones are out, so that's why I was there) wanting a diary for 2010 that started...in Aprilshrug.gif

oh and I had a lovely text ;)HScloud9.gifHScloud9.gif
    *sighs happily*

It's getting cool here and a very dark sky soi think more rain on the way.

Bathroom has now been done and i've sorted through the post.:D DS2's birthday pressent came but i only got part of it, i hope the rest comes this week.

Hubby has booked his flights for the football and he's sorted so far until October. :D

Right best go sort out more washing.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

  • Hi ladies,

Had the school reports today - some fab news and some of the concerning variety - and think DS may be heading to acquiring another label sadly. I have a SENCO meeting booked tomorrow so at least can discuss it in more detail straight-away.

So I don't stress unduly until hubby sees it I think a couple of HHC's in order - anyone want to join me at 4pm?

Kitchen & dining room first, then another HHC in the lounge.

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Ooh I am so pleased with myself today. More jobs half done, but we have a weekday left so I may finish something yet! I have finished the shower and am quite pleased with that, and then when I went shopping I pocked up two plastic baskets for under the sink organising. In a fit of enthusiasm I have cleaned under the sink and have organised my cleaning supplies. So proud of myself. It was truly gross! Have also been to school to drop off a booklet all about my DD for when she heads off to Big School in September. Now to make those gorgeous looking red velvet cupcakes someone posted yesterday. I think I may have dreamt about them. :)

LW~ you can say it again about MK beingwet, it is *****ing here..........

Toots~ I #think# also places like wilkinson, lidl and poundshops do seeds at reduced price in a few weeks time, as long as you IMO buy known brands of seeds ie Sutton, Mrfother, unwins, carters,T & M, you cannot go too far wrong, I always check all the sow by dates on the back of each packet as well. I mainly bought Franchi, taste of Italy and Duchy seeds these are less known, but good quality, as I know my father won't have seen these and they are of unusual varities.

I am actually 'saving myself' to go mad at T & M's open day near Ipswich on 31st July, as they supposdly do stuff at trade type prices, I'll have to see if the happy campers want a drive out on that day, if they don't have anything planned!! :D and the weather is good.

I was initially told they 'catch up' eventually.. then when I spoke to some people who work with SN children and said it they looked at me like I was loopy and said had they told me that rubbish as well and they they never catch up.. it is a disability/damage to a part of the brain and they do not outgrow it.. I think the fact that he would never be 'normal' hit home really hard then.. but I do prefer to know what is what and deal with it then.. I did wonder if they tell you they will catch up to soften the blow and give you hope.. but it does seem wrong.
