Best PAYG/similar deal for already owned HTC desire (unlocked)

Hi,

A relative is selling their nearly new HTC desire and I'm interested in it but I don't want to be spending a fortune on some "contract."

I'm currently on PAYG (Orange) and would like to know pretty much the cheapest way of staying with Orange but getting mobile (non Wifi) nternet access on the HTC. I imagine I'd be a fairly light user just wishing to access my Gmail account and google maps / news / weather etc.

I spoke to someone in Carphone Warehouse about this but came away none the wiser.

I had a look on the Orange site and it seemed that I could get a Dolphin deal at 15 quid a month but is there a cheaper option without me getting tied into some deal for 24 months?

Any suggestions?

After a quick look on Oranges website, I don't think they're offering anything to suit your needs that includes Internet access. Their Dolphin PAYG package offers 100mb of data but i could get through hat easily in a week on my iPhone and the Desire is much more data heavy. Why did you want to stay with Orange?

No other reason than I've been with them for years and not had any complaints inc. generally good reception at my workplace when friends on other networks have had problems.

Of course, if there is something reliable, suitable and inexpensive on another network, I would go for it.

Try giffgaff. I wish we sold these guys at Carphone, they've got some really good value deals.
