All Is Not Well at VODAFONE..!!!!!!!
I could really do with your apinion with problems I'm having with VODAFONE:mad:,,,,,I have to say there customer relations are rubbish,,,,,I had a contract phone with vodafone until recently,,,,,To some up what has happened I got paid late after starting work at a different company,,,,Vodafone:mad: over several days kept trying to take the money from my account leading to me having to pay around £250:eek: in bank charges.
This may not be the answer you want, but as I see it you didn't have enough money in your account or an overdraft avaialble to pay your bill.
I appreciate you changed your job but if it was a problem did you try and talk to Vodafone? If all you did was stop the DD then you made it worse, they'll have moved you to a bad debters list. After a few more tried to clear the bill you'd be passed on.
You say you had a £160 Bill, how many months was this for? How many months went before you called Vodafone? My thoughs are is if you cancelled the DD and left it a few months then VF will have cancelled you contract and as you were in breech then yes you'll have to pay the Fee's.
As I said I'm sorry this is not the answer but if you could not pay the bills you should have got in touch wioth them, I can't see you getting any comeback in terms of fee's or payment for the business cards, as you don;t seem to have contacted them when the issues began.0 -
I've not got a lot to add to what gjchester said on that one. If you cancel a direct debit without clearly informing a company why you're doing it then I think most would assume you're a bad debtor. That said, I can well understand your frustration with Vodafone customer support. I got absolutely nowhere with them after quite a few phone calls and a dozen emails. I'm sure 90%+ of their training is in how to completely ignore customer questions.
Anyway, got a bit more info on my fair usage saga. When I originally sent my first email to Vodafone outlining my problem, I also sent a copy to the Vodafone Directors Office. And promptly forgot I'd sent it. However, last Friday, I had an email saying they (the Directors Office) would look into it and that they'd listen to the original conversation I had with the Vodafone sales rep (why someone at customer support couldnt' do this, I don't know. I suggested it often enough).
Cutting a long story short, I've just had an email back and 'as a gesture of goodwill', Vodafone are now offering me 1GB of Mobile Internet for the same price as I was paying for 500MB.
I'm tempted to go for this as, if I'm careful, I doubt I'll ever go over 1GB again. But, if I do accept, will this affect my being able to cancel under the 10% increase clause at a later date if I do go over this limit?
Thoughts, anyone?0 -
500MB is easy to go over
Is it really, though? I've just gone through my bills for the past 12 months and at no time have I used more than 57mb - and that's on a Blackberry with 3 email addresses on it.If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

Ha! They are fobbing you off here on the 'gesture of goodwill' thing BIG TIME. This is currently being offered to people who signed up for unlimited and has been offered to several people, you are not the first nor is this goodwill.
The trick is they sign you up to the 1Gb package which is a hard cap, not fair usage policy. You go over 1Gb you are charged, no warnings, no please don't do it again, you get slapped with a charge. Because you are agreeing to this package you give up any right to cancel under the 500Mb changes.
If you will never go over 1Gb but you do go over 500Mb this isn't a bad offer, but you will be surrendering your right to be cancelled when you are charged.0 -

I'm a bit inclined to think I'm being fobbed off too. Not sure if the 1GB is a hard or soft cap - that wasn't mentioned, so I think I'll ask for clarification on that one... and about whether I can still use the cancellation clause, before I decide whether to accept.0 -

Seems to be pretty easy with just about any model of the new smartphones. I have a mate at work who's just got a new iPhone, and he used over 100MB in his first day just by playing around with it a bit...0
