My daughter will be travelling by Interail in Europe this summer. She is on O2. Is there a different SIM she should get

1. for keeping in touch with home (either her ringing home or me ringing her)
2. making calls when abroad

I welcome any advice here

She could get the "My Europe Extra" bolt-on for £10/month.
It's either a one-off fee or a monthly subscription until it is cancelled.
Allows up to 1000 minutes of calls made/received (overall) per month at special rates in Europe. It's free to receive calls instead of 14p/minute but making them cost 25p/minute instead of 35p/minute.
So you could call her all the time (using your free minutes if you have them) and she won't pay anything to receive the calls.

Alternatively you could look into one of the many roaming SIM cards available.

    Thanks Jamie
I forgot to mention that she's PAYG & I'm on contract - will that change things?
