the 3g aspect because i have a htc desire so was wondering if i have 1 3gb fair usage what speeds i should be getting as the 1gb speeds are throttled

is that not how much you can download in a month, not the download speed?

nono it the fair usage policy of 3gb but apprently on the 1gb the speed gets capped and on the 3gb you get hsdpa speeds

get the 'speedtest' app from the market. publisher is ookla. it is advert free, unlike the extreme speedtest app.

you can use it for 3g speedtest or wifi speedtest, depending on how you are logged into the internet on your handset.

I have to say I never found the 1GB throttled in any way compared to the 3GB I am now on.
