o2 replacement offer

Hi

Just needed a bit of advice, my XDA Ignito is faulty as the touchscreen has stopped working,

I have been advised by o2 that as the phone has been discontinued they will swap it with another adivce, I got happy with this and was offered Xda Guide, all the Blackberry's and Palm Pre

I'm not happy with any of these handsets and told the o2 rep that none of the above devices are really similar to the device I have, the rep was sympathetic but said this was all he could offer me and he will arrange a callback for Monday,

Do you guys think I might be able to get a better handset than what has been offered or do I have to choose from the above handsets?

Any advice will be appreciated

Thanks

If it aint an upgrade you'l be offered a non-like for like of the same value, might need to pay for other handsets.
  • It may be worth looking at the phones you can currently get on your tariff and seeing if any of those suit you. It would mean you getting a much newer phone but at least gives you a starting point to negotiate on. For example:

If you are on a £45 18 month contract, that would get you a free HTC Desire or iPhone 3GS 8GB.

Also look at some of the phones that you like and see what the up-front costs would be if you were on a new contract. Perhaps offering to renew your contract now for a further 18 or 24 months would improve what they can offer you.
In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move.
