Inspections by letting agents- 9 to 10 times a year seems excessive?

I never formally inspect the flat that I let, usually "something" happens every year (a repair or query from the tenants) and I pop round to see them rather than deal over the phone. That way I get a quick, inobtrusive squiz round the place at a convenient time for us both. Every 6 weeks!!! No way.
How'd you feel if your mortgage company popped round to your house for a quick squiz every time you asked them a question, or they asked you one?

It's just not nice living like that, knowing people will be wanting to come and "judge/inspect" your lifestyle ... because that's how it would feel.

I rented a flat for more than 5 years without a single inspection. 9-10 per year takes the p155.

I'd love it if the mortgage company would come round, at little notice, and sort it for me everytime the bathroom sink leaks, or some other minor maintenance is required.
