If you cant get a free one or borrow one then they cost around £30 - £40
An energy monitor will certainly help you pinpoint where all that electricity is going, plug in your monitor and turn as much as you can off then gradually turn stuff on while keeping an eye on the monitor..
Anything that uses electricity to heat will be using more, so dishwashers, tumbledryers, ovens, heaters, irons etc all use a fair amount.
That's a great idea Plushchris. The energy monitors are a really useful tool. :j
We are still giving these away free to eligible customers through our Energy Fit campaign. From the info posted, julieanne is certainly eligible and can apply for the energy monitor through our website.
Just a quick heads up; the demand for these monitors has far outstripped our expectations and we have had to order more from the manufacturers since our existing stocks have run out.
Therefore, there are currently delays in delivery of something like 90 days from the date of request.
Julieanne, give me a shout if you need any advice/info with this as will be happy to help. As posted above, drop an email to the address in my Profile if you prefer.

Hi julieanne
I'm really sorry for the delay replying, I've been out of the office quite a bit recently.
The email address is in my Profile. Just click on to my name and select View Public Profile. It is listed under Biography.
There is a possibility we will block a switch if there is an outstanding balance on the account. However, this will depend on the particular circumstances like the size and age of the debt.
If nothing is owed or the only balance is from a final bill, the switch should go through without a problem.
Please also be aware julieanne, we don't give discount on final bills when changing supplier.
Let me know if you would like me to check your account as will be happy to help.

From what you've said in your other posts, something isn't right.
Have you spoke to your present supplier about checking the meter.
I'd be concerned if my bill was that high0
