Yay its the weekend :j I intend to do as minimal chores as is possible (am really tired of the scrimping and saving, 1 more month is my mantra but it is becoming tired now) and we're off to a festival today :jexpensive but should restore my soul
I nearly got fish & chips take away last night, but at the last minute changed my mind. Thank god! Whats the point of scrimping throughout the week if we're going to go and blow £15 at the weekend?

forgot to get the blinking chicken out of the freezer! Was very drunk when we got back so pretty predictable! Have to rejig meal plan and have sardine cous cous & salad today
Picasso - re the old savings accounts - go get that money! When I closed down two bank accounts in April they both had 1p in them. The woman behind the counter said "you don't want the 2p do you?" and I said "yes" better in my penny box than Halifax's coffers!

V jealous La escosesa, I would love to be able to dry clothes outside, but alas no garden for us
There is nothing like the freshness of clothes dried outside. Oh well....all this DFWness will make us millionaires and then I can get my garden....
Anyway, hope everyone is having a nice evening!
Jo
Jo! I know exactly how you feel! (I came to OH's parents' house
) Enjoying their garden for a few hours before heading back to the flat.
One day!

And is there any point in looking into very old passbook accounts ? Found 2 at my dads that must be 50 years old ! Got a little cash in and kept them mainly for the 'historical interest'. They are from Lloyds. (He could use the cash if they are still valid
)
to my mind if you have the passbooks, then there's no loss in trying to go to the bank and see if they have records. I think there's also something on this site about tracing old accounts. Good luck!0 -
