I cycle to work (about 3 miles) each day and its far better and less stressful than driving, at first it was hard work and I didnt cycle in the rain, then OH changed jobs and needed the car, so now I cycle all the time. Invest in a decent helmet and some waterproofs and a lock. I have a cheap bike 60 pounds from Tesco (so clubcard points too), so not attractive to would be thief, plus security man where I work keeps an eye on the bike rack too.
I now cycle to more places than I ever dreamed I would and have got the children on their bikes too.
Another plus (aside from the money saving) is that I am fitter and a stone and a half lighter and I eat what I like!!Thoughts to all. Mrs D.
