well im less then impressed I cant log into my account at all, tells me wrong details when they are not and no reminder or reset working, will have to ring on the morning now which is a mission with 3 small children and a skip arriving in the morning followed by a birthday party.
and i did not have any letter either with my goldfish statement just the usual about what is owed etc, but I got a direct debit set anyway and just online for additional payments every couple of months, nit wits.0 -
As I've already said, the best value can be cinema tickets. I've just ordered enough cinema tickets to put me in line to mount a serious stab at Jonathon Ross' old job on the BBC!
£10 in High Street Store Vouchers is currently 1,750 points.
2 Adult Cinema tickets are 1,250 point. For two people to attend my local cinema it's about £16. Much better value. Personally I will use them at weekends, but as we all know, well timed use during the week could make them a very good trade (Orange Wednesday with Odeon etc).
Not only did they double the number of points required for high street vouchers, they increased the number required for cinema tickets to 3,500 in line with a £10 voucher - meaning for someone who exchanged for cinema tickets, their points balance is devalued by about 65% as opposed to the 50% devaluation other customers suffered!
I cleared out about 5000 points worth into four sets of cinema tickets during july and closed my account today. I am appalled at the way these rewards were devalued.

Hello. I have just logged on and selected a £10 Argos voucher. It took 2500 points off my card. I must be on a different scheme as when I applied for the card last year it said spend £X on it within the first three months and we credit 7500 points which is enough for £30 of rewards. The way I read the article earlier was that the points now needed would be 3500 for a £10 redemption.
I only use it to pay my Council Tax bill each month as an alternative to paying it by Direct Debit so feel whatever reward I get is a "free" bonus. Although I do feel sorry for the people who had the card when it was more generous than it is at present.0 -
2500 points to get £10!? I had the Goldfish from when it first came out and it used to be 1000 points got you £10 of Asda vouchers, which were more use to me than any of the other offers. Then they cut that to 1500 points for £10 and I stopped using it and eventually cancelled it.0

I claimed some John Lewis vouchers with my Goldfish points a couple of days before the deadline for the devaluation (28th July, I think). I usualy get these in a 3 or 4 days - I know, of course, that they will porbably have been inundated with claims that week -but nothing has arrived as yet.
I'm not registered with the website and so can't find out what's happening that way - don't really want to have to make that phone call with all the automated messages, but I suppose I'm eventually going to have to!
Anyone else still waiting for theirs?0 -
I did not get any communication about this change and only found out about my chance on Thursday. With circa 24,000 points that's about £137. I was successful in getting £60 credited to my account instead of getting the full points value that I can still use. Here's what you must do. Phone them, be firm and polite (it's not the call agents fault - they will respect and help you more if you treat them fairly), insist that you very unhappy and wish to register a complaint if you cannot redeem your points for the full value. Registering a formal complaint is key as this will ensure it is escalated to a manager. Also ensure you get the full name of the call agent and do not forget to thank them for their help at the end of it. I phoned after 10.00 pm on the Thursday and insisted that the manager called me back after 7.00 pm on Friday. To their credit they did (even though I was sceptical). At first he tried to say that I would have had the communication etc etc and there was nothing they could do. Simply hold firm insisting that no such communication was received, if you are long standing customer remind them of that, mention it simply cannot be fair and arguably unlawful to run a scheme on a certain number of points and then deny the opportunity to spend those at that value they were earnt. He could not do anything about the points but clearly had the authority to credit my account. Orginally offered £50 but I held out for £60. Good lick and do not give up - remember to use the free phone number posted earlier.0

Thankyou
Worked fine and I did get a call back.
£30 credited as lost 6000 points and will keep the card after 11 years use, so everyone is happy:j0
