lol, Ask them outright why they've increased their price and see what they say. Nothing like putting someone on the spot ha ha. Let us know what they say!

I'd still and go see it if you want to. At the end of the day its only worth what a buyer is willing to pay for it.

A sudden influx of interest and they might be taking a gamble on what they think they can get. Any chance it was undervalued previously?

Have seen a handful of increases over recent weeks. Seems a few people are taking the upwards Nationwide index at face value.

While the majority of price changes have been downwards, so they must be taking the falling Halifax viewpoint.

Ring the agent and say you'd like to cancel the viewing as it has now moved out of budget...! See what they say.

(though its not impossible that a typo happened and it took a week to notice. only been on market since 30/6)

    Thanks all,

I will still go and view, but the vendor is the developer. This small development was completed approx 2 years ago and only 7 of the 16 sold initially so he rented this one.

I'm just angry that the EA has not even bothered to ring to let me know about price increase. I might have been travelling some distance for a property that may now be out of my price range.

ignore the price, it's only an 'asking price'. you could offer 10k more than they're asking and they still wouldn't have to sell it to you. It's just a starting point for negotiation. Most people now are raising prices to give them more room to lower them later during negotiations as it's quite clear that people are going to be asking for reductions in most areas of the country.

Ignore the price, you won't be offering any more just because the numpties increased the ticket price.

It might have been built by the developer ... but remember it's second hand now.

Why don't the kitchen base cabinets match the ones on the walls?
