Is Vodafone online provided by Carphone warehouse?

I'm trying to cancel a contract through vodafone online (V-store.co.uk)
The details are on another thread so I'll not repeat them. But while looking for a fax number I came across this line in the T's and C's

"Us/Our/We/v-store.co.uk" means Data Select Limited trading as V-store, a company registered in England and Wales under the number 2142673 with registered office located at Network House, Globe Park, Marlow, Buckinghamshire, SL7 1LY, United Kingdom;

I used companies house web check service to try and find contacts. However searching for company number 2142673 I found this was the registered number for Carphone Warehouse Ltd.

Data select ltd are registered at the address given but under the number 03662640

Does anyone know who I'm attempting to deal with?

If you purchased through Data Select, its them you need to deal with I would have thought.

Not sure how you are linking Vodafone to CPW but Data Select appear to be a distributor of phones - might be selling vodafone sim cards indirectly.

The question is why does vodafone terms and conditons refer to carphone warehouse's registered company number? Have they done a cut and paste job on the T&C's?

Not really expecting to uncover anything important it just seems like an odd coincidence.

I'd be more interested to hear from vodafone with a PAC or reason it can't be delivered that I've been waiting well over the two days stipulated by Ofcom.

v-store.co.uk are registered to Data Select Limited.

Data Select are distributors or resellers of vodafone sim cards - that is the basic link between the two. Data Select is a company owned by some chap from dragons den tv thing.

The link to cpw might be an error on the v-store site (i.e. wrong company number)

Not vodafone and not a company i would deal with online if they cannot get a company number correct on a website.
