I recently unpacked the Freeview tv I bought early May, last year.
With my usual ineptitude, it took me a while to get it started, but I now have some channels, not all.
What I do see is that the signal strength registers very low - only a quarter or fifth of the way along the bar on the screen.
I do not have an outdoor aerial, just a strung-up arrangement in the loft.
Is this why I do not receive the full range of BBC tv and other Freeview channels I was expecting?
What can I do to rectify this and also use the interactive button thing?
At present, all it does is reveal a list of options which don't activate.
Thankyou if you can help - I don't watch much, but very much wanted to be with every minute of Wimbldeon possible and tried to use the red button when this was an announced option - nothing happened.

Yes, the less than optimal antenna is why you're not receiving all the channels.
You need to get a better antenna and ideally place it outdoors. An amplifier might help.0
