Cancelling flights on lastminute.com

I booked an Easyjet flight on lastminute.com and now wish to cancel it. The website implies that I will have to pay quite substantial cancellation fees to the airline and also a cancellation fee to lastminute. I get no refund on the flight booking.

Can anyone tell me please if I would be better just not turning up for the flight and being a "no-show", rather than going through the cancellation procedure?

Thanks in antiicpation

Tom

Easyjet don't do refunds unless you cancel within 24 hours of booking.

And of course under these circumstances you would be far better as a no-show.

Unless things have changed, I got a tax refund minus an admin charge. Still got about £80 back for 2 tickets.

Lastminute might add an admin charge though.

I'm intrigued to know why you would book Easyjet through Lastminute? Is it cheaper than booking direct?

Thanks - I found a couple of websites suggesting the same.

Why do people book through a third party for Easyjet ?, all Lastminute are doing is booking the flight and adding their profit margin, so your flights cost more in the end. Easyjet do not charge for cancellation, you paid your money and thats it if you do not turn up. you can claim Tax back but you will be charged an admin fee.

Well, I didn't know it was Easyjet - LM just tell you its a "no frills airline". I won't use them again.
