The cost of calling an 0845 number is NOT 3.5 pence. Typically such numbers lead to call-steering systems, and you spend many minutes on hold, at your expense. Those 3.5 pence per minute mount up: it is very unusual that a call to such a number costs less than a pound altogether.
As for saynoto0870, yes, it would be better for everyone if all the numbers that it gives were accurate. However, if it leads to people seeking alternatives to 0870 numbers and thus causing inconvenience for company management, I hope that it will lead companies to provide geographic contact numbers.
