I am about to do physical harm to my daughter!

If that child does not learn very soon how to close a door quietly, I will not be responsible for my actions!

Aaaaarrrggghhh!!!

I'm with you on that one, except my daughter is constantly OPENING her door and refusing to stay in bed, the little monkey.:rotfl:

'Tis ok...I've already given her the number for ChildLine. :rotfl:

I've lost count of the amount of times I've asked her to close the doors quietly. It seems she is physically incapable of using the handle to close the door, she needs to just kinda swing it closed behind her.

I'll be swinging her 'behind' myself shortly. :D

The best of it is, she's not even at the stage of hormonal tantrum deliberate door slamming yet...this is just her 'normal' day to day way of closing a door.

By the time she's hit puberty and her hormones are causing mood swings, I will either have removed the doors as diable says or we will live in a tent in a field somewhere. :D

Thats exactly what I did with my eldest when he started his pre teen stomping upstairs and slamming his bedroom door. I said 'you do that one more time and I'm taking that door off its hinges'....well he did, so I did (well you have to follow through dont you, empty threats dont work) Worked a treat, took the wind right out of his sails. He hated not having the privacy. Agreed to put it back up, now hes out of the habit, he NEVER shuts darn door!
