Siemens CL75 Poppy phone

Hi,

Can anybody help or advise on my Siemens CL75 Poppy phone.

I want to connect this phone to my PC but the cable I bought of EBAY does not reliably connect, I've had it connect once but could then only use the Siemens software for transfer of contacts.
What I want to do is update the phones firmware (from the Siemens website) to allow better communication and allow picture transfer. This needs to be done with the correct cable, Genuine Siemens USB Data Cable DCA-540.
The questions are :-
1) Has anybody actually transfered pictures from this phone.
2) Has anybody connected this phone reliably to a PC.
3) Has anybody used the Siemens firmware update.
4) Any good/cheap suppliers of data cables in NE England.
Any help or response would be grateful.

I know this is a 'money saving forum' but I did buy this phone due to information on this forum.
