    Hiya
I'd just like to say that I did my own DMP and have been on it since 2005 with no problems at all. About once a year I send an updated income and expenditure sheet, and my creditors have been absolutely fine. I've never had even one nasty phone call or anything, it was a doddle!!

I've just had a problem with Payplan also. I received my Barclaycard statement whicj shows no payment for July I have contacted Payplan who said that the payment was cleared by Barclaycard on 5th July so should be on my statement dated 7th July I ghave spoken to Barcalycard and they said they didn't receive it till 8th July which is why it isn't on my statement, Pay Plan have had my payment since 23rd June why does it take so long to clear

I have again emailed payplan regarding this and the reply i got today is pasted below I know what I think of it ..... it would appear apart from the obvious bit about the reference (which I have now checked twice with the bank and it is the original reference payplan told us to use when seeing up the standing order... it would appear that neither payplan or first credit keep proper records of their phone calls.... as first credit told me they had rung payplan first and only sent a default because payplan had not at that point paid them

    Hello Helen,

The reason for the money taking so long to clear appears to be because of the reference number.
I apologise but I am not sure why this has taken so long to be picked up.
If you wish to make a complaint about the situation you may do so, please inform me if you would like to do this.

Also, I called First credit yesterday regarding the situation, and the person I spoke to said they had no record of a call being made to Payplan as Ron would be the first point of call. I am not sure why they said that they made a call to us. The only explanation I can think of is that they forgot to record it in their case notes and the same thing happened at our end. The only other reason could be that they did not make the call.
