You've done the right thing; put it down to experience, earphones aren't indestructible!

I might try as the door is a menace but not overly confident.

I don't think the suggestion was entirely serious. Was there a warning on the package they came in saying not to get them caught in a revolving door? If not then sue the manufacturer, or consider suing whoever you got the 'not very bright' genes from.
My second question is should I stick it back on and return it without mentioning the revolving door bit?
    Of course you shouldn't.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

I bought some earphones fairly recently and have found them really great. I am really annoyed that today I broke them. I managed to catch them in a revolving door and rip one of the earphones off.

My basic question is would this be covered by the waranty? Surely I should not be able to pull the earphone clean off? My second question is should I stick it back on and return it without mentioning the revolving door bit?

    Thanks
How do you expect this to be a warranty issue when you clearly broke them yourself.
It's not as if it was poor workmanship, or the goods were faulty.

Come on I was just annoyed that I had broke something I liked. I emailed them being completly honest. There is no harm in trying? I had an email back to day from them saying that while the warranty does not cover for accidental damage after the 1st month they do offer a heavly discounted replacement service. Basically I can have a replacement for £10 all in(£17.99 off). All I do need to do is take a photo,or post back, damaged item. I think if you are friendly and polite its worth asking?

FIK Who did you buy from? On one of your other posts you seem to have bought a pair of Soundwise earphones. Did you get on amazon or directly. I was just looking at their website and they have a buy one get one free on everything just now. Do you think they are worth it? The prices seem ok even without the free one. I just never heard of before.
