Is this faulty or just my fault

I bought some earphones fairly recently and have found them really great. I am really annoyed that today I broke them. I managed to catch them in a revolving door and rip one of the earphones off.
My basic question is would this be covered by the waranty? Surely I should not be able to pull the earphone clean off? My second question is should I stick it back on and return it without mentioning the revolving door bit?
Thanks

Accidental damage will not be covered by the warranty - chalk this one up to experience and buy yourself a new pair.Thinking critically since 1996....0

C'mon, you knew the answer to that already

Agreed unless you took out an optional insurance (Argos and a lot of other place offer this at the POS) then this will most definatly NOT be covered by warrenty0

Not under normal use, no. But when it's accidentally damaged, anything could happen. It's like saying "I whacked my TV with a cricket bat...surely the screen shouldn't break?!"Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -

I don't think much would stand up to those doors. The earphones are/were really robust as I have dropped them already a few times. Once into my tea:-). I have also stood on them and they were fine. The door would take a foot off.
Perhaps if I write to them they could fix it? It looks ok its just not attached. I don't know whether to be honest or not. what is most likely to work? The company were friendly and the earphones were good so not that keen on lying although even less keen on having to pay again.0 -
Just buy a new pair and put it down to experience0

I wrote an email to the company I bought from to ask if they can fix it or give me a discount off a new pair. They were nice before so I thought I not want to fib.0
