Hi,
I hope someone knows the answer to this. In March 2010 i made a payment to a company using my Maestro card for an engine rebuild. The company have to date not carried out the work and are not refunding my money. Does anyone know how I stand, and what I can do to get the money refunded. It's over £700 !! I can't afford to loose that amount, who can. I have tried phoning and emailing them but I am not getting any reply. H E L P !!!

well according to CAG [consumer action group] it looks like your bank who issued the card are not obliged too offer a refund.

Maestro debit card
Under Maestro UK rules, UK cardholders don't have the right to a refund if a company fails to deliver the goods or services they have paid for. In a statement, Maestro told us "The cardholder's bank is not obliged under both the Maestro domestic rules and UK law to refund the cost of those goods/services [which aren't delivered]."0
