1. The heaters are reasonably large, I suspect the correct size.
2. This will make it cold in the morning though won't it?0 -

No, the output controls how much heat is let out. It should always be closed (at lowest) when the heater is being charged.
Sorry, if you meant the room then maybe - mine is always hot in the morning as a result from the charge.0 -
2. Cooler, but don't forget that night storage heaters ALWAYS give out heat from the external surfaces. Some, of course, have automatic flaps which push out controlled amounts of heat rather than pushing a lot and and exhausting the reservoir of heat prematurely. This usually means avoiding use of any button which says something like BOOST, unless it's really cold. In the end, you have to set the heat input to what the weather forecast saysthe weather's going to be over the next 24 hours.
One point: I assume you use an immersion heater to heat your water. Does this have an immersion heater timer to ensure that it heats up the water only in the off-peak period? Of course, you might need to have it on (on full rate) briefly, say an hour, late afternoon/early evening to boost the temperature if you have baths. An electric shower would obviate this. And make sure your immersion heater thermostat is set no higher the 60C.
Finally, I suggest you put into google 'Efficient use of night storage heaters' and see if you can pick up any tips. You could look at this thread, too:

Hope this is useful."Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0 -
Thanks for the help guys.
Looking at my heaters I have an overnight storage and a room temperature setting.
How should does this relate to the settings mentioned earlier?0
