What would you suggest then? That is definitely the reason it was issued, I know the Sergeant had spoken to the Traffic Warden as I had a voicemail this morning from the Traffic Warden who issued it.

Is there a way to post pics on here and I can show you how it was parked?

This is interesting: sections 5, 11 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act deal with non-compliance of traffic regulation orders, whether they be permanent, experimental or temporary.

Google streetview shows a seemingly unrestricted road without any yellow lines (although the pics are old) so the offence they're trying to pin on you cannot stick if you weren't contravening statutory road markings (keep clear markings don't count - only yellow cross-hatchings) or the signage placed in conjunction with a marked bay. On the face of it, it does not appear that any traffic regulation order is in force at all, although you should check with your local council. If they wanted to do you for anything else, such as obstruction, then you have been wrongly indicted so your case is well worth taking to court.

The nearness to the corner is the weakness in this. Although the popular 'do not park within 10 metres of a junction' from the Highway Code is not backed up statutorily there is a case to made that 'corner parking' is obstruction.

I refer readers to my earlier posts.
