O2 Signal Booster

:rotfl:I am currently on Orange, but I would like to move to O2 because it has better deals and offers which would suit me. I live in a rural area with poor signal. I researched and found 'Signal Boosters' for around 3 pounds. Do they work and will they damage my phone?

Thank you for your time.

yes, signal is really bad at my house :(
  • Hi there

The "sticky labels" that you are supposed to put inside the phone are useless. Don't bother with them as they simply do not work.

Vodafone is the way to go with Sure Signal, like a mini mobile mast in the house uses the internet though.

I think O2 are working on a similar device to the VSS.

I've been with O2 for years and always had excellent customer service. However the signal at home has always been a bit 50/50 and so decided to switch to Voda. Rumours of their poor customer service are 100% accurate and we have a business account !!

Setting up the new contract and getting the iPhones delivered was a saga (why ?) and we nearly cancelled the contract.

Anyway getting to the point ... we decided to order a Vodafone Sure Signal to boost the signal further as we have access to fast broadband (from O2 !!). This is definitely NOT a 'plug n play' device so be warned. If you go to the Vodafone Forum you'll see loads of people making similar comments about poor support, confusing information, etc.

I've finally got it to work although no thanks to Vodafone but via comments and suggestions made on their forum from other (frustrated) members.

It's now working but what a NIGHTMARE.

Mine was most definitely plug and play. Wonder how many perfectly happy customers there are for each that complains about it?
