do you have to remove the labels on jeans when selling on ebay

hi everyone,

I have some miss sixty and river island jeans that I want to sell on ebay. As this is my first time selling on ebay, I've had a look at the other jeans on the site. P and P for most appears to be £3.00 - seems reasonable.

However, my question is that a number of sellers seem to be removing or stiching.marking through the labels to prevent them being returned to the shop in question.

Do others do this? Is it recommended?

There's a stall on my local market which sells end of line (I presume) M and S clothes. They keep the label in so you know what you're buying, but cut it out before selling to you, possibly so you can't take it back to the shop? I wouldn't have thought that meant you need to cut the label out though, I wouldn't if it were me.

If they have labels leave them in if you don't you cannot technically sell them as that brand and leave yourself open to SNADs

My question is when I upload my jeans (they are brand new) should I do the same and mark a red dot on label or stitch through or just leave them as they are?

I wouldn't have thought it was the Ebay seller that is marking/removing the label. They'll most likely be getting them like that.

You do not need to remove your labels and if you do you will most likely end up in grief for doing so, if you list them as that particular brand with no label to prove it.

Unless its a way of getting round the Vero issue?.
