If someones employment contract is terminated due to capability, does that mean that person will find it almost impossible to get employed again?
the choice seems to be
1) resign (and with good reference in tact)
2) be dismissed on ground of capability

Could you afford a private referral? a friends elderly Mum has been suffering for over a year with a particular problem and GP virtually useless. She paid to see a consultant earlier in the week and he knew straight away what her problem was. For peace of mind it might be worth going for a private consultation.0

hi, no i can not afford private health care.
there is the slant, that if you pay for it, they will tell you something,
when i speak to NHS for whatever reason, they always talk down the private route
eg when i was having physio for something, they said DONT pay for it private, they will not do anything
worth paying for.
if i was rich, i would def pay for a specialist.0 -

I can see a physio directly if i want to. I might.
Im changing my GP as Ive moved so ill speak to the new GP in time.
how did physio solve your problem? excercises?
ive been asking doctors/physios/orthopaedic, how can i get stronger? make it better? they are dumbfounded. Surely there must be helpful things to do to strengthen my computer use and decrease the weakness in arms/wrists.
I saw a physio for something similar. I was treated with ultrasound and something else I've forgotten. What really helped was when I had acupuncture from the physio, although not all of them are able to offer this.0 -

You don't have to be rich to see a consultant privately - it often costs about £80.0 -

Orthopaedic meeting felt like a waste of time. Firstly, he didnt even seem qualified and said his background was in Physiotherapy.
Probably doesn't help you much, but I reckon you were seen by an MCAS practicioner, which is the clinic they assess you at to see if you need Orhtapedics or Physio.0 -
My husband's been in hospital 4 times in the last 2 months and the care & attention he's received from the NHS has been 1st class. Don't think going private would have resulted in better care.dustinjames wrote: »hi, no i can not afford private health care.

Hi
I'm wondering why they didn't x ray your wrist? My doc suspected RSI last year but sent me for an x ray to rule out arthritis. It turns out that it is arthritis so I've now saw a physio for excersises and accupuncture (didn't work!) I'm now on the waiting list for a steroid injection.0 -

Yes, x-rays were not even mentioned.
Physio/orthopaedic just did some hand wrist checks, but when he was doing them, he was not asking "does this hurt?" at one point my wrist was shaking, and i thought "right, this looks like a sure sign" and he just moved on. Said it was not arthiritis, no muscle prob, nothing, absolutely nothing wrong with me he said. He said its like a marathon, if you run that much, youre gonna be tired and exhausted.
TO be fair, I dont think im that bad, to be given injections or surgery, the ortho said this too, that it was not even near haveing that kind of treatment. I just need to manage it now.
