  • Well done on making the decision. You obviously have strong will power as you are doing well on your DFW quest.

    Great decision
I did it the Allen Carr way after 20 years of the evil weed, four months no problem, fell off the wagon last month, nothing other than a few silly stresses and half a lager set me off again.
I am going to do it again, currently on 5 a day (was 20 before I stopped).
    I'm stopping tomorrow for good.
    With you all the way

From an ExSmoker - GOOD LUCK!

Get lots of sugar free gum handy for when you get the urge - Airwaves is really good as it is Menthol and is totally incompatible with cigarettes (Cigs taste rank).

Also drinks lots of water - helps your body detox quicker of the nicotine.

    Good luck with giving up!

I'm sure you'll get lots of tips, but an ex-smoker friend of mine saved all of her dog-ends for the last week that she smoked and put them in an old jamjar. She added a bit of water, shook it up, put the lid on and left the jar on the kitchen windowsill for a few days. Every time she fancied a ciggie after that, she'd open the jar, take a sniff, and gag. I suppose you could call it revulsion therapy ;)
