HTC desired discontinued?

I went into Phones 4 U today and was told the HTC Desire had been discountinued (this very day in fact) which sounds a bit odd, does anyone know if this is fact or fiction?

Maybe by them, but stocks are expected in the next week or so.

It's HTC's best selling handset, they're not going to discontinue it for a while yet !

I doubt it. There is still massive demand for the HTC Desire at the moment so I can't see it being discontinued any time soon.

It is also being released on carriers in the US too.

This appears to be Phones4U's way of saying, we're not selling the Desire any more and we'd like you to get another phone from us.
