Trying to get deal with Sky

Sky is currently under my Dad's name. We currently have the variety and kids packages. We want to get a Sky+ box but want to get it free like new customers do. We could tell them we're looking at going with FreeSat or Virgin or someone like that and ask what offers they could give us. I've read some people do get offers this way.
But if Sky don't offer us anything and are happy for us to leave, could me or my Mum sign up as a new customer to get the free Sky+ box? We all live in the same house, so would we still be techinally a new customer? My Mum has a joint account with my Dad, so would it be easier/better for me to sign up?
We thinking of getting the Movies sometime in the near future but not too bothered about that right now.

Everyone gets a Sky+ box for free. Just ring them.0

Its a HD box you'll get without £10 HD pack so you'll need to pay something. How long has this account been open as that will be reflected in how much you pay. Box will be £29 and install will be based on your tenure so either £30, £15 or free. You're on a very low package so I wouldn't expect much more. They will try to up-sell broadband and phone and additional channels too.0
