I have an unlocked phone currently on ASDA Mobile.

Tesco pay as you go appears to triple your credit when topping up. I.E top up £15 and they give you £45

However I think calls and texts from Tesco are also 3 times more expensive than ASDA.


Can anyone confirm this? Is there any better deals anywhere else?

Not going to be topping up regulaly enough to benefit from free calls & texts etc.

Calls on Tesco at 20p except to 5 favourite numbers.

The only network to better ASDA mobile for call costs is Giffgaff for me, simply due to goody bags.

If you use them, then great, but Tesco can make sense for calls.

All calls are charges at 20p/min and texts are 10p each. You can save 50% on both for your 5 favourite numbers though.

If you don't make many calls try Tesco Lite. All calls are 8p/min to 01/02/03 and 0844 / 0845 / 0870 / 080 / 084 numbers. Texts are just 4p each. http://www.tesco.com/mobilenetwork/content.aspx?page=83
