Just sounds as though the engine is struggling to work. Just a small bit of crap, which was around the plug. Burnt material but not much.
  • Have you tried disconnecting one plug lead at a time to see if every one makes a difference?

Did you fit the same plugs as came out, or different type/manufacturer?

Did you check the plug gaps were as they should be?
  • i would remove the plugs, spin the engine over on the key to eject any crap, then clean and refit the plugs and see how it is then

  • the new spark plugs are a little bit longer than the old ones but are compatible with the ford ka, will take out all the spark plugs out tomorrow and start the engine, and then put them back in and hopefully will solve the problems, will post tomorrow, thanks for all the help

What was the actual number on the plugs that came out, what went in.
Did it misfire instantly, or did it start ok, then misfire after a while?
