building my portfolio..

guidelines are;

a) looking for long term capital appreciation, certainly intend to hold for 5yrs +
b) strong weightings in the emerging markets regions, Brazil, India, China e.t.c..
c) reBalanced annually into 'less risky funds', so need a couple of these.
d) On a 1 - 10 risk scale with 10 being max risk i'd rate myself as a 7+.
e) 1000pcm to invest.

From my own research i've come up with the following;
FUND | SECTOR | REGIONAL WEIGHTINGS | ASSET CLASS
Invesco Perp High Income UK | Equity Income |UK & USA | Equities
Jupiter Corporate Bond | Sterling Corp Bond | UK & Europe | FI
Neptune Global Equity | Global Growth | Emerging UK & US | Equities
Blackrock Gold and General | Specialist | US Eu AUS RSA | Comm
Threadneedle UK Poperty | Property | UK | Property
Aberdeen Emerging Markets | Specialist | BRIC | Equities

Would anyone be kind enough to offer any thoughts on my choices above? I'm aiming for a 'balanced high risk spread' if you understand what I mean, i.e somewhere to re-balance any suprluses that may grow.
Anything stand out to the more seasoned investers amongst you that I may have not thought about?
I understand that financial advice cannot be provided.

Thanks very much

    My first thought is that for the fairly substantial amount of money you're investing, it would be worth consulting an IFA.

    You've covered most of the bases there, and with "star names" funds, but the fnal weightings and what investment vehicle you use will depend on your personal circumstances.

    Many advisors would say that the sector weightings are more important than the actual funds themselves.

    I'd also suggest the slight caution that the BRIC funds I have haven't fallen much from the levels they were at when the financial papers accused them of 'already being in bubble territory'

    Diversification/spreading things around is always a good idea :)
