42p for marg, as I ran out after making banana and honey muffins (wanted to use up bananas I had rather than waste them) and £1 for my favourite magazine. I know but need something to cheer me up. Can't justify something sweet after baking the muffins. Plan to freeze some for next week.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

Well I thought today was going to be expensive as had to go to Boots to buy loads of holiday items as we're off on Saturday. Things you can't really scrimp too much on too eg: sun tan lotion, hydrocortizone cream etc.etc.

At Boots went to the Advantage Point to see if I could get any offers and printed off: 25% off a shapers pack of crisps, and get some wet wipes for free. Armed with these and the £5 skincare voucher I got last week, I went to the till - about £35 of stuff in my basket and expecting to pay about £27. The girl at the till scanned all my vouchers and one of them (don't know which) came up on the till as "£20 bonus bond" - ie £20 off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even the girl realised it was wrong, but couldn't work out why as the barcode had scanned properly, so ended up paying £6.42 for all my shopping!!!

That plus 1.30 subsidised starbucks = not a bad day after all!!!

  • 1.15 on headache tablets (headache gone now:j )
3.34 at Post Office on posting amazon sales and buying parcel tape
1.00 in Charity Shop Sale on top for weekend party
4.72 on shopping (bread, milk, fish, fruit and veg)
1.20 on drink and bun for DS following opticians check up

    11.41 in total

I was feeling good about this as I've also received £80 back (money someone owed me but that I'd written off) and was quids up on the day but I've just noticed a major prob with my car that looks like it will cost an enormous amount to repair
