MSE News Discussion: Sky Sports price shake-up

Hi all, my 2 cents is that BT are so awful in terms of customer service that if they offered me their whole stall free - broadband, tv, landline, mobile, yada yada yada - I would not take it. I had BT broadband for a number of years and finally gave them a boot over a year ago because of, quite simply, the worst customer service in terms of technical support that I have ever had the misfortune to experience. To double check that I am not the only one, just to a search for 'i hate BT' and you will see what I mean. It is not worth the price of your sanity, believe me.0

£6.99 per month seems a fair price to pay for Sky Sports. The most I could afford each month is £20.
Since I can't get Sky Sports for £20 per month, the minimum price for Sky Sports is actually nearer £40 per month.
How can this be fair?
All you people with more money than sense are responsible for depriving poorer people than you of watching sports.0 -
Sky Sports price shake-up: is it cheaper on BT or Sky?
This was from July 2010. Any updates on this article ? MOH is still not getting his SKY Sports (football and some cricket). Both BT and SKY want you to sign up for their broadband but that would mean changing my ISP (Orange) and therefore email address. Also at the time of the main article nearly two years ago most people responded by saying avoid BT. Are there any other alternatives ?0 -

You can get Sky Sports/ESPN packages via the aerial rather than dish, with Topup TV

It should be noted that BT Vision are reportedly making a loss on transmitting Sky Sports on DTT and are investigating the possibility of distributing it via broadband only. If they do change to BB then TopUpTV would be unable to afford transmission on its own of Sky Sports on DTT and would almost certainly have to drop it.0
