Well only 1 area for me ! The Fethiye area, which includes Calis,Hisaronu and Olu Deniz. Far superior to all the other areas imo

i agree, just had 10 nights in calis, plenty to do in way of trips etc, all well priced or you can just as easily relax on beach, we cant wait, going back in september to ovacik for 17 nights.

This is so not money saving, but there is a peculiar landscape you can float above in a hot air balloon and that just looks so beautiful. I can't remember the name and certainly couldn't spell it, but that is where I would go.

Looks a nice place! apartments are fairly pricy compared to what i have seen elsewhere. quoted £1600 for 2 weeks accom! (1bed, SC).

I have seen other nice places in Kalkan for £700 for 2 weeks!

Very little to do in Kalkan and it is quite isolated

There's loads to do in the Olu Deniz area depending on your interests. Here's a couple of local tour agents to give you some ideas for excursions:

    http://www.fethiyem.net/
    http://www.caroletayfun.com/

There are plenty of people selling excursions in the street if you want to shop around when you get there, or you'll be able to get a deal on a hire car if you want to get out and about by yourself.
Here I go again on my own....

OLu Deniz is quite small, beautiful scenery, the food is good, the beach is pebbly so you need jelly shoes, the lagoon is sandy if you take the road to the right for the free private beaches. Otherwise you pay to enter.

Plenty of places to go by either Dolmus, taxi or on trips. Fethye is nice and very Turkish, we took the water taxi to Chalis Beach from there.

    You could go paragliding.

We stayed half board at the Karbel Beach hotel, it is very quiet and laid back and close to the beach, bars and restaurants, we intended to eat out but the food was excellent.

If you go to Trip adviser/ Turkey/Olu Deniz forums you can check everything out
