Where do you keep your car at night?

I'm interested to know where you all keep your car(s) parked at night!
My car is usually kept on the road outside my house in the back lane at night and I seem to be always collecting scratches or other abuse from people walking by. Yet I see shiny new cars parked at the side of busy roads with heavy footfall every night too but have not a single mark on them! How do they do it!

Road outside houseRoad outside the house (when the crone visiting her daughter over the road hasn't left her decaying pile of frog crap outside ours - thankfully rare since we had the blazing row)0

DrivewayI had to tick both garage and driveway because the "classic" is in the garage and the modern heap is on the drive!
They've got three next door. One on the road and two on their drive.
Across the road there are five! Two in the garage, one on the drive, one on the road and one on someone else's drive.:p0 -
DrivewayOurs are all kept on the drive in the summer, see my avatar. The Landy is in the garage over winter.
What 'classic' do you have, oldagetraveller?0 -
Road outside houseMine is a similar situation to oldagetraveller, the kitcar lives in my garage and the eurobox live's on the road behind my house (which is widened and more like residential parking with cars able to park nose first)
The only problem I get is kids occasionally playing football, cricket or "lets see how far we can throw half a house brick" games.
But they soon move when I sneak out the front (so they still don't know where I live), walk round the back and tell them to F off.oldagetraveller wrote: »I had to tick both garage and driveway because the "classic" is in the garage and the modern heap is on the drive!
And yet these day's the Classic would be the "shed" that nobody cares about hitting. Whilst the modern eurobox would be seen in a more favourable light..... So sad“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Drivewaymines on the driveway, had the f###ing thing 2 weeks and next doors offspring kicked his football over the fence and scratched the bonnetThe advice I give on here is based on my many years in the preservation industry. I choose to remain anonymous, I have no desire to get work from anyone. No one can give 100% accurate advice on a forum if I get it wrong you'll get a sincere apology and that's all:D

Those who have garages, put crap inside and keep the car outside.
Those who do not have garage, keep the car outside anyway.
That means everyone keep the car outside - either driveway or on road.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -
we have a drive at the side of the house, but its tight
to get the car in and shut the gates takes a bit of work
so for day to day i keep it on the road
when i plkan to not use it for a few days then its on the drive
for insurance purposes its declared as on the road0
